With more and more Architects and Contractors now demanding this product, ToughGlaze have again seen a short fall in production and invested in a state of the art automated lamination line. ToughgGlaze have produced a limited amount of toughened laminated for many years only on specific projects. The market is now fully appreciating the advantages over toughened glass or normal annealed laminated. The main advantage when using toughened laminated is no falling or flying glass particles plus giving retention after breakage, this becomes very beneficial in projects such as Airports, Shopping malls, Train stations, Balustrades, floors and canopies or anywhere Safety and Security becomes a major issue.
ToughGlaze can not only supply quality safety products we can satisfy almost any aesthetic aspiration demanded by the market. Specifying toughened laminated glass could not be easier due to the flexibility and it is easy as making sandwiches, the recipe can be so versatile. Clear, Obsure and Tinted with variation in glass color and thickness which are now a standard product. ToughGlaze can now offer Trosifol or Vanceva interlayer’s in the construction. Almost any RAL or Pantone colour can be achieved by mixing the basic colour pallet. Adding into the mix the variation of translucent and solid colors the choice is yours. If this is not enough ToughGlaze can also incorporate toughened silkscreen glass into the lamination or expand to a specialist digital printed glass designed purposely for each individual project.
ToughGlaze cannot only supply toughened laminate as a single glass for internal or external applications. We can also incorporate into double glazed units for glazing into facades giving architects full flexibility in design.
Laminated glass also has other advantages over single glass. Total UV protection and varying solar protection.
Developments are now ongoing for solar cells to be assembled and encapsulated inside the lamination; linked together with the above variations this is giving architects and contractors total versatility.
The ToughGlaze group has the capacity to produce large panels of glass. However when it comes to lamination due to its weight, each individual project is evaluated on an individual basis. |
