Situated off New Kent Road and Elephant Road, the £100m scheme includes towers of 24, 18 and 16 storeys. Comprising 262 homes, a 272 bed student residence, a large Sainsbury’s supermarket and a four-screen cinema, the new development is the first phase of wider plans for the area. Formerly known as Tribeca Square and Elephant One, the scheme is now simply described by Delancey as the ‘Elephant Road site’. The development includes more than 370 homes for rent, as well as 270+ student studios, a cinema and supermarket. The project is funded by a joint venture between Delancey’s client fund DV4 and Europe’s largest pension fund asset manager APG.
ToughGlaze provided 21.5mm Toughened laminate, with all 4 edges polished, as the structural balustrade had exposed edges. All the panels supplied were heat soaked to negate the potential of glass failure through inclusions, most notably Nickel Sulphide. The project was phased by our in-house Key account managers and delivered to our customer, to be constructed at their factory and delivered as a complete prefabricated balcony.
