How much does glass weigh? (quick answer)
As a rule of thumb, glass weighs about 2.5 kg per square metre for every 1 mm of thickness. So 6 mm glass is roughly 15 kg per square metre, and a 2 m by 1 m pane of 6 mm glass weighs about 30 kg. For a full breakdown by thickness, see our guide on
